I have not had Italian food (real italian food, not chicken parm or francese) like this since I was in Italy. It is reasonably priced and good quantity and quality. I definitely recommend it, favorite restaurant in montclair. The owner was very friendly as well.

Okay, the other Saturday, early evening, thinking it was time to branch out, I called three of Montclair's most persistently famous restaurants and found them booked solid til 9:45 PM. Instead of waiting, we chose one of our own favorites, Trattoria Rustica. Delving into one of Rustica's excellently prepared salads -- mine was simple, arugula lightly tossed in olive oil and topped with the sweetest mushroom slices ever -- I felt...content. This restaurant delivers every time. Decorated with an appealing rustic glow, with a cadre of well-trained servers on hand, it's one of the unsung best of downtown Montclair. We slipped into a well-attended evening of good food with a lovely front table for two apparently just waiting for us. Diners lingered and so did we. No rushing here to get people in and out. Stay as long as you wish and enjoy well-prepared, distinctively flavored Italian fare, as well as a menu of savory appetizers and some luscious desserts -- well priced, too.

One of my favorite restuarants in Montclair.
My fiancee and I go to this restuarant atleast once a month. The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. Definately recommend making a reservation.
