Absolutely (expletive) Delicious
I got take out from this restaurant. A misprint on the web menu was honored by the owner, who could not have been nicer or more passionate about the traditional legume dish I was about to eat. OH was it GOOD! Every last bite. Even the soup and salad were devoured with greedy abandon. I'm only afraid that too many good reviews will make it hard for me to get an actual table! YUM!!!!!!! I gladly do my due diligence and give this food a perfect score, as per the request of the owner. It is well earned.

5 star food and service
My brother and I had a great meal. I wanted something different and flavorful and we got we were looking for. The owner, Ron, tries to tone the heat down but I actually like it a bit spicier. If you like it spicey make sure that you request it. The appetizer sampler was wonderful! The Jambalya Mardi Gras and Mambo Gumbo soup were very flavorful.I enjoued the Haitiana legume stew with beef because it was such a medley of flavors. The beef is slow cooked with the spinach and has a nice flavor with the black bean sauce mixed with the rice. I mixed in the okra and the whole thing was a taste delight. We chatted with Ron, the owner and he's very helpful and a wealth of knowledge about the food he serves. I live an hour away but I think I'd like to bring the family next time!

Worst Customer Service Experience!
We had a dinner reservation for 4 on a Saturday night at 7 pm. When we showed up @ 7, all the tables were full. The waiter told us the wait would be 20 minutes. Since there is no place to hang out and wait in this tiny restaurant, we gave them our cell number and asked them to call us when the table was ready. We then headed off to a local bar for a drink. Thirty minutes later we hadn't gotten a call, so my boyfriend called the restaurant. He spoke to the owner Ron, who said it would be another 30 minutes. Since we have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and really liked the food, we decided to wait the extra half-hour again. Thirty minutes later, no phone call so my boyfriend calls again. They tell us yet again that no tables have opened up and it would be ANOTHER 30 minutes. By this time, it is after 8 pm and we had a reservation for 7 pm. We STILL wait because we wanted our friends to experience the food that we loved. When we still didn't get a call after ANOTHER half-hour, we had to resort to another option. They finally called us @ 9:30 to say "Oh, your table is ready now." WE HAD A 7 PM RESERVATION! When my boyfriend said we had to resort to another restaurant because we were STARVING and that they should give us a free meal in good faith, the owner said "Well, let's meet half way." I'm sorry ... you take our reservation for 7 pm and don't honor it until 2-1/2 hrs later, you ruined our Sat night. (thank God we didn't have to get to a show or anything) .... you don't call us to give us any updates ... and you want us to meet you halfway? I don't care how good your food is, this is HORRIBLE management and customer service. We will NEVER go back to this restaurant again -- and we had been repeat customers. And when I called the next day to complain, the owner told me not to call unless I had "constructive criticism" and hung up on me! Worst. Restaurant. Ever.

Great food and menu
I have been here a few times and enjoyed the food every time. Nice caribbean menu and small but pretty surroundings. The owner is extremely personable and helpful. I will return again and again.
