Costanera, a hip, new restaurant, offers authentic and bold Peruvian Cuisine in a warm, casual atmosphere. The restaurant's owner and executive chef, Juan Andres Placencia, is a formally-trained chef who creates dishes with only the freshest, high-quality ingredients prepared with refined, elevated cooking techniques. Located in the heart of Montclair, Costanera is open for dinner six days a week and will open soon for lunch and brunch. My husband and I have been in this resturant several times. The first time we went we enjoyed the food. We like the atmosphere and most waiters are very nice. Without a reservation especially on a Saturday night can be difficult to get sitted. However, the food though good, we have noticed lately that is has become very salty. We asked if they had a new chef and was told they did. We knew that had to be the case because in the past the food was not salty.Even though the food is good, they are kinda ruining it by adding too much salt. That's our only complain. We really like the tres leche cake very good we always order it when we dine there. I hope they hold back on the salt, I hate not to visit again because we like the resturant.

Fantastically Phenomenal
The food was amazing, we had an appetizer (Ceviche) entrees and a dessert each and polished of each plate. The service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. We were already talking about our next visit before the first meal was over.
